Be a real Knowmate! Update your profile.
1. Find the People box in the course area (you can't see it while you are reading this).
- It's on the left-hand side in the sidebar in the main moodle course area;
- Click on Moodle in navigation bar to see it
- Click on Edit Profile;
2. Update the information there so that other participants can contact you easily and as needed;
3. Change your password (if you did not self-register) to one that you will remember;
4. Upload a picture of yourself or a picture representing you (known as an Avatar) ...This will be used in your public postings. Knowplace is a safe environment for you to upload a photo of the real you. People like to see who they talk to online. It makes our home here more personal and real;
5. Type in your email address - the one you use the most;
6. Put in your phone number so that we can reach you if we need to;
7. Fill in the entire webform with good information;
8. When you are done, post a note in the forum to let us know that you finished (or what trouble, successes or frustrations you ran into). Remember, we are here to assist.
Edit Your Profile
This is the area where knowMATES will read about who you are and what you do. Use it to tell us all about yourself! Have fun with it.
To find your profile there are two methods:
- Click on your name anywhere in the site and you will be taken to your profile area.
- If the People block is open you can click on your name and you will be taken to your profile area
You want to "Edit profile" to enter information about you.
To learn about others in your course or discussion area, you can also click on the "Participants" block, click on their name and read about others.
